Roof Deployment Project
DryTech Exteriors Is Dayton’s Owens Corning® Platinum Preferred Contractor Bringing Free Roof Installations To Local Veterans
Drytech and Our Local Veterans
DryTech Exteriors is proud to take part in the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project, a national program that provides free roofs to U.S. military veterans in need. As an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, a distinction held by roughly the top one percent of roofing contractors in the country, DryTech is one of a select group of companies eligible to install these roofs at no cost to the veteran.
DryTech has installed roofs for Dayton-area veterans through this program and continues accepting nominations year-round for future projects.

Financing For Your Own Roof
Not every roof qualifies for the Roof Deployment Project, but every Dayton homeowner deserves a straightforward path to a new one. DryTech Exteriors offers financing through Wright-Patt Credit Union®, with pre-approval in as little as 24 to 48 hours.
How the Roof Deployment Project Works
The Roof Deployment Project is a partnership between Owens Corning and its Platinum Preferred Contractor network. Owens Corning has run the program since 2016 and has now donated new roofs to more than 800 veterans across the country.
The program splits the work between two partners. Owens Corning donates the shingles and roofing materials. DryTech Exteriors, as the local Platinum Preferred Contractor, donates the labor and completes the installation. The veteran’s household pays nothing for either the materials or the work.
Every project moves through a short review before installation. DryTech confirms eligibility, evaluates the condition of the existing roof, and coordinates a date with Owens Corning and the veteran’s household once a project is approved.
How to Nominate a Veteran
Anyone in the Miami Valley can nominate a veteran for consideration. Family members, neighbors, and local nonprofit partners are all welcome to submit a nomination.
To nominate a veteran:
- Fill out the nomination form with the veteran’s name, address, and a description of the roof’s condition.
- DryTech reviews each submission and schedules a free inspection to confirm eligibility.
- Approved projects are scheduled with Owens Corning based on material and crew availability.
Local organizations, such as Rebuilding Together® Dayton, have also partnered directly with DryTech and Owens Corning to identify veterans in urgent need. DryTech welcomes referrals from nonprofit partners in addition to the standard nomination form.
How DryTech Helped a Local Veteran Protect Their Home
Dayton veteran Glenda Watson, who served in the U.S. National Guard’s medical unit, received a new roof and gutters through the Roof Deployment program, completed by DryTech’s crew in a single day. The project was an estimated $15,000 investment, funded through the partnership between Owens Corning, DryTech, and Rebuilding Together Dayton.
DryTech founder Brad Hosler explained the company’s reason for taking part in plain terms: “The least we could do is put a roof over their heads.” Watson’s story is one of the projects DryTech has been able to complete through the program, and DryTech plans to continue nominating and installing roofs for veterans across the Miami Valley.
Why DryTech Exteriors Takes Part
DryTech Exteriors was founded in Dayton in 2019 and has since earned more than 800 five-star reviews, a Best of Dayton win, and the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Eclipse Integrity Torch Award. The company holds Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor status, the same credential that qualifies it for the Roof Deployment Project, and applies the same standard of work to every roof, gutter, and siding project it completes across Beavercreek, Centerville, Kettering, Springboro, and the rest of the Miami Valley.
Supporting veterans through the Roof Deployment Project reflects the same local, community-first approach DryTech brings to every homeowner it serves. The company was built in Dayton, and its team lives and works alongside the veterans and families it partners with, not in a distant office evaluating applications from afar. Taking part in this program is a natural extension of a business that not only measures success in reviews and referrals, but in long-term relationships across the Miami Valley.
Where We Deploy New Roofs For Veterans
DryTech Exteriors doesn’t have to look far to find the veterans it serves; they’re already neighbors, family, and friends across the Miami Valley. That’s what makes the Roof Deployment Project more than a headline. It’s a standing commitment to the people who served, built by a company that calls this community home, too.
A veteran does not need to live in one of these cities to be considered. If a nominated veteran’s home falls within the Dayton, Ohio, region and meets the program’s eligibility standards, DryTech will evaluate the roof and coordinate with Owens Corning on next steps. Veterans outside this service area are welcome to reach out as well; DryTech can help point them toward another Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor in their region.
That commitment reaches veterans in:
